Technically? Yes. Unfortunately, part of depth is experience and until you get burned a few times, you're not going to have the full compliment of skills.

Another thought - Ne needs a deeper defence. Can that be accomplished before next season? June

Nebraska has a bad habit of shooting themselves in the foot - witness the Capitol One game as Jan. 2
Pelini and offensive coach had better take them
back to offense 101 Bege

On number three Nebraska. The term is Kryptonite, as in the substance that can kill or weaken him. Krypton is the planet superman came from. In fairness, Kryptonite is the rubble from the planet Krypton but really...

MVP Defense A&M Jon Miller

Aggies 27 Huskers 20
I've seen nothing in our past two games that would lead me to belive we can beat A&M this Saturday. Kyle Field and The 12th Man spell doom for the Big Red.

This will be our easiest game. How high will we want to
run the score up?. I think all 3 of our QB's play and we roll : Huskers 52 Jackrabbits 7.

Franck Solich was the coach. I would say 1986

Trivia suggestion-What was the last season that the Cornhuskers had a freshman football team and who was the coach?

I watched the '71 NU/OU game in my sister's hospital room in Omaha.I was 13 and my folks kept shushing me every time I would get too loud, "Keep it down, this is a hospital!" But when Johnny ran back that amazing punt return, the whole hospital erupted. I was cleared to yell as much as I wanted after that!

I'm counting down the days for Husker football to begin in '09. My first game was the '71 Game of the Century. We were spending Thanksgiving in Arkansas with family and had to pass through Oklahoma on our way home. Our "Nebraska #1" signs sure worked up a few Okies who strangely enough, waved at us (we were kids-ages 7-12) with their middle fingers!

Went to every game 1972 through 1988 and enjoyed Husker football. Moved away and missed my fall Saturdays. Thank goodness for Tellie. The Callahan era almost took away the enjoyment, but now BO is there, and life is back to normal.2012 NC!!!! GBR.

Another thought---for the Press---please get off of Bo for the late flag. That's the kind of coach I would go through a wall for--not one that would be looking at his clipboard.

I was really proud of the fight all the guys had up to the last---numb skull interference call.
We are getting there---I hope Bo does not get to discourage---which I know he won't.
Let's see what we do with Missouri.

What a great time was had on Saturday...Just enough mistakes were made to see that the team has a lot to work on with the running game and defending the pass. If it would have been a 57 to 2 blowout...you wouldn't know if you were good or not. One thing I think is clear...it wan't the lack of talent last year. Man was it nice seeing those guys flying to the ball carrier. Of course there were mistakes...especially, in my opinion, by Assante...but maybe they were not actually his mistakes...maybe he was trying to cover someone elses assignment...I don't know. I give the team high marks for winning and it appeared to me they were doing something rarely seen (or allowed) during the the Dark Ages...having fun!!
