Former Auburn defensive back Jonathan Rose has found a new home – Lincoln, Nebraska.
A handful of schools popped up as likely destinations for Rose, a member of the Tigers’ 2011 class, including Florida State who recruited him during that time.
Unfortunately, the Seminoles have no scholarships to spare.
With Florida State out of the race, Tennessee appeared to be another option, but the Volunteers were lacking a very crucial aspect in landing Rose – Nebraska secondary coach Terry Joseph.
Joseph would’ve been Rose’s position coach at Tennessee under current head coach Derek Dooley. When Joseph left, he took his relationship with Nebraska’s newest transfer with him.
While Rose will need to sit out a year per NCAA rules, he’ll have three years of eligibility remaining.
