One of the coolest things about Husker Locker is that we deliver contests that let you win prizes! Just in the last week alone, we've crowned four winners who will all get awesome rewards!

In our Huskers & Hunting free giveaway last week, we selected two winners. The first victor was donsummer, who provided the following hunting memory...what a story! He'll win a set of 300th sellout glasses!

Growing up in South Dakota, I remember Saturday afternoon football games on the car radio as far back as the late 1940s. As a 9- and 10-year-old, I joined my father on pheasant and duck hunts. My last hunting trip with him was in the fall of 2001 near Pierre, S.D. He was 91 and almost certainly was the only man alive to have taken part in every South Dakota pheasant season since the first the very first one in 1919. Because of problems with his legs, this was to be our last pheasant hunt together. As we listened to Nebraska demolish Baylor in Waco on that October afternoon, we shared a lifetime of hunting and football memories.

Our second winner was @HDFLSTF, who retweeted our giveaway message. Congrats! This retweeter will win Tom Osborne's "Beyond The Final Score."

Next, we had our October trivia winner, carlfense, who narrowly captured the monthly victory by just three points. He wins a Husker throwback poster of his choice. If you'd like to join the Trivia Club for November...click here! November is just starting...so you've got as good a chance as anyone!

A big hearty thanks to everyone who participated in our "Where Were You In '62" nostalgia blog; we so loved reading about the Husker ties that bind and the memories that resonate with the Big Red Soul of Nebraska football.

Out of the 34 comments, we randomly selected a winner for the excellent Devaney Era DVD - and that winner is FLHusker1! He'll get to kick back and enjoy an era of greatness in Nebraska football - with one of its most legendary coaches - just for sharing his memory with Husker Locker!

For those of you who missed his memory, here it is:

I was seven years old in the fall of 1962. My sister was a freshman at the University and was able to get tickets for the rest of the family. It was my very first game and I will never forget it. We had seats in portable bleachers that were on the track. My most vivid memory of that game is of the Missouri players coming past us at halftime. Their locker room was right behind the portable bleachers. I remember seeing a lot of blood on their uniforms. Pretty impressive to a seven year old kid.

My other memory is of it being the Homecoming game. I remember the displays at the sororities and fraternities. My favorite was the one they had of a Monster mashing a Missouri player. Bobby Pickett's "Monster Mash" was a hit song the fall of 1962.
