Huskers "Spank" Wisconsin, Win Share of Big Ten Title
The Huskers entered the match needing to win to secure at least a share of the Big Ten Title. The second place teams, Illinois and Purdue needed to lose one match. Illinois (7) lost to Michigan State and Penn State (12) defeated Purdue (8).
If Nebraska (23-3) defeats Iowa on Tuesday or Northwestern on Saturday they can be the sole champion in the Big 10. "We don't want to share it," NU coach John Cook said. "We've come this far, we've got to find a way to win this thing."
Nebraska's (16-2) only losses in the Big 10 was to Penn State and Purdue.
