Huskers "Spank" Wisconsin, Win Share of Big Ten Title

Nebraska "spanked" Wisconsin tonight and won a share of the Big Ten volleyball championship in the final regular-season "Senior Day" match in Lincoln. Even though many of us wish that this was a football article, we are talking about the fourth-ranked Husker Volleyball team who won 12-25, 25-17, 25-13, 25-22 against the Wisconsin Badgers at the NU Coliseum.

The Huskers entered the match needing to win to secure at least a share of the Big Ten Title. The second place teams, Illinois and Purdue needed to lose one match. Illinois (7) lost to Michigan State and Penn State (12) defeated Purdue (8).

If Nebraska (23-3) defeats Iowa on Tuesday or Northwestern on Saturday they can be the sole champion in the Big 10. "We don't want to share it," NU coach John Cook said. "We've come this far, we've got to find a way to win this thing."
Nebraska's (16-2) only losses in the Big 10 was to Penn State and Purdue.

Although a lot of focus has been placed on our football team winning the Big 10, it will be an equally amazing accomplishment for Nebraska to step into the Big 10 and win the conference championship in Volleyball. This is not an easy volleyball conference - Go Huskers!!
