The shading looks wrong in a couple areas to make this an obvious photoshop. With that said, even legit product ads are all photoshopped every single day. Those models are not as flawless as they appear. iPhones show Android running on the screen and vice versa.
While that design works as a 1 time alternate jersey, I'm still hesitant it's truly happening.

I like the black uni with the traditional red N on white helmet. The clean all white uniforms with either a Red helmet with white N; or a Black helmet with a Red N would be cool too. I've always liked the clean road uniforms for Oklahoma and Kansas (and even Texas) when they are in their all-white uniforms. I really, really hope we have some black in our road uniforms for at least the Wisconsin game. For the other road games we can stick to tradition. For the Badgers, however, let's bring some attitude and flare to Madison. GBR!

From the Official NCAA rule book: Just a little addition to the thread
Jersey Color and Design
ARTICLE 5. a. Players of opposing teams shall wear jerseys of contrasting colors. Players on the same team shall wear jerseys of the same color and design.
1. The visiting team shall wear white jerseys; however, the home team may wear white jerseys if the teams have agreed in writing before the season.
2. If the home team wears colored jerseys, the visiting team may also wear colored jerseys, if and only if the following conditions have been satisfied:
a. The home team has agreed in writing prior to the game; and
b. The conference of the home team certifies that the jersey of the visiting team is of a contrasting color.
3. If on the kickoff at the start of each half, the visiting team wears a colored jersey in violation of the conditions specified in paragraph 2 (above), it is a foul for unsportsmanlike conduct.

An earlier article about a month ago showed the same picture of the black helmet, and the equipment staff passed it off as a student project from several years ago and that they were just doing some housekeeping when the pic was taken.
Whether anyone believes that or not is a different story.
IF NU does debut black helmets and/or black unis, you can bet that the Wisky game will be as good a time as any to do so. We'll find out in about 10 days.

I agree the uniform is photo shop, BUT what about the helmet in the other picture? I am not buying into we have all this tradition with the uni's. When were the best team in the 90's we had entirely different uniforms than we do now, minus the helmet. So those fans talking about tradition with uni's is kinda of a joke!

Settle down folks. It's pretty obvious the picture was photoshopped. Also, the only way NU would be allowed to wear black jerseys for the UW game would be if UW decided to wear their road whites. The home team has first choice. The visitor must wear white or their choice of colored jersey should the home team choose white. I would say it's someone just looking for a reaction similar to the response generated by the black helmet.

They need to wear these uni's vs. Wisconsin!

Sure, Join the cliquish world of black uniforms and uniform changes. Nebraska is built on tradition not uniforms. One reason I have stayed a Cornhusker fan is because of Nebraska’s adherence to tradition.

Cool unis, but I don't see it happening.

Jerod- Could it be that Wiscy's unies are virtually identical to NU's? Black is neutral and I expect it would only be for one game. Really?

As long as Nebraska wins, the uniforms can be pink for all I care. Go Huskers! =)

We could always go the direction of Oregon, but since our mascot isn't a bird, instead of feathers we could have little kernels of corn on the shoulders. (I don't like the idea of black uniforms)

Why do team's wear black, when it's not one of the schools or teams colors?
