I think Thomas will have a tough time once again against the Blackshirts, and we have a interception or 2 and we put up some points!! Martinez will come back strong and Helu and Burkhead have a great game too! GO BIG RED!!

A couple of bonehead turnovers will make this game look a lot closer then it really will be.

I didn't see anything from our last game with the Jackrabbits that wouod leadm to believe we can prevail in Manhattan. Our offensive and dfensive lines were pushed around. Acouple of Huskers drives in the red zone will be held to field goals. We lose a 20-17 lead late to a long Wildcat score.

NU 30 KSU 17 Martinez rights the ship with 1 passing TD and 1 running. GO BIG RED!!!!!
– Oct 7, 2010 at 12:41 pm
NU 32, KSU 31: Through three quarters, Martinez has the worse game of his young career, fumbling twice and throwing 3 picks, as KSU takes an improbable 31-0 lead entering the fourth quarter. But suddenly, something awakens inside of Martinez and explodes for a monster 4th quarter, with scoring runs of 31 and 55 yards, and a 22 yard td pass to Niles Paul. Throw in a defensive score and 4 two-point conversions, and the Huskers complete the largest 4th quarter comback in major college history.

NU - 24
KSU - 13
Daniel Thomas breaks a TD, then they rely on fld goals for the rest of the game. Defense shuts KSU down in the second half, Martinez accounts for a patented 35+ yd TD run, Niles Paul catches a TD, Defense gets a TD, Henery gets a fld goal to close the first half.
What else can be said about them ****cats in Manhatten?

45-13, the Big Red turns Manhattan into, "The most unhappy place on Earth, Manhattan, KS."
Nebraska does a relatively good job of holding Daniel Thomas in check, he gets 99 yards (again).
He'll break a long run for a touchdown in the first quarter (25+ yards) but that's the most damage he'll do. The 'Cats will try to use that to set up the play action which the Huskers are watching, the ball will get picked off by Hagg and returned for a touchdown- in the second quarter- this will lead to a Husker scoring Tsunami through out the rest of the game.
K-State will get Field Goals on their last drive of the first half and first drive of the second half- that's it, besides the lone DT Touchdown.
Score at the half 21-10.
Offensive MVP- Taylor Martinez, Defensive MVP- Eric Hagg.
3rd down conversion percentage: NU 75% vs 25% for KSU. Passing yards NU 175 vs KSU 140; Rushing NU 320 vs KSU 130; Turnover Margin, Nebraska +3.
Crazy prediction: Rex Burkhead throws a TD pass to Brandon Kinnie.
Sorry if I was long winded, Mom's side of the family lives in KS and went to KSU/KU- Dad's side Nebraska/NU. Mom is a Big Red convert. This game is always one of my favorites!

13-12, Nebraska
I see this game going down just like last years big 12 title game, score and all, but Nebraska coming out on top. Only one touchdown in this game coming from Kinnie on a 72 yard pass. GBR

KSU 17
If the Huskers can score first I will feel pretty good. I think Niles will finally get his deep ball early in this game then the three headed monster will take over. Husker D will probably bend plenty but hopefully won't break. I think DT will break a couple but Huskers get more.

I'm a little concerned though, anybody else see UCF throttle UAB last night? This is the same UCF that KSU barely squeeked by and that's the same UAB that almost beat Tennessee.
– Oct 7, 2010 at 5:14 am
31-10... Blackshirt D just too good for them Wildcats! I'll be at the game around 3 starting to tailgate! Husker fans in Kansas do it Big!
