RECRUITING: Prodigy Commits to NU

A loss in the Big 12 Championship didn't deter the Nebraska football from picking up yet another verbal commitment from a Texas prospect – and its 18th overall – for the 2011 recruiting class.
Givens Mordi Price, a 6-4, 280-pound guard/tackle prospect, pledged his services to NU linebackers coach Mike Ekeler Monday night, according to recruiting site Huskers Illustrated. Price, from Houston's Alief Taylor High School, visited for the South Dakota State game and had offers from Baylor and UTEP.
An academic whiz who just turned 16, Price also looked at Harvard. He'll study medicine in college.
