Heartbreak in West Texas

It was a recipe fit for a gourmet upset of No. 7 Texas Tech.

Nebraska just couldn’t find the magic ingredient.

Without their two starting linebackers, the Cornhuskers amassed 471 total yards, possessed the ball for two-thirds of the game and pushed the Red Raiders to overtime. The Cornhuskers even blocked the extra point after Tech’s overtime touchdown.

But quarterback Joe Ganz, after one of the most magnificent performances in NU history, threw an interception on Nebraska’s second offensive play. Tech escaped with a 37-31 victory, and the Huskers were left heartbroken, still snake-bitten against top ten teams.

Heartbreak indeed, BUT a great game for the Huskers. To bad they couldn't come up with the Win in OT. Although the Big Red have fallen short of a win it will put some spark back in the Huskers for the rest of the season. GO BIG RED!

DO NOT blame Joey G. for this loss. The guy threw for 81.8% completion and made several key plays to keep drives alive. The man played a heckofa game and should be acknowledged for it.If you want to blame the last play on any one point your finger at the o-line. I count no less than 5 d men in J.G.'s face.Wheres the blocking?
After todays game all I can say is watch out future opponents (this means you I State, Baylor, K State, Kanasas)!!!!
