"A lot can get lost on the way to paying for higher education, you know. Like secondary education. Learning about government. Science. Literature. Culture. Art. How to cook. How to change oil. The things that make life rich beyond one’s main purpose of getting a job.

One wonders…maybe, at some point, folks worry a little less about athletic scholarships, and a little more about why they’re getting fleeced in tuition by their local college for an education brought to them by teaching assistants and non-tenured instructors."

Amen to that...I traveled to Italy this year and this was one of the primary concepts I came away with. They look at life in a much more holistic fashion and their lives are much richer for it.
