In honor of Nebraska's 300th-consecutive sellout, easily an NCAA record, we're asking the experienced Husker fans among to remember: Where were you in 1962, when the sellout streak began?

Were you cheering on the Huskers in the knothole section? Listening to the games in between farm chores? Waking up on Sunday morning to read the paper cover to cover? Taking your own sons and daughters to the game?

And if you weren't born during or before 1962...that's OK, too! Give us a memory from your parents, grandparents, or someone else who remembers the time.

And if you can't find that...just give us your favorite memory from any of the 300 sellouts you might have attended.

We want to hear from you, Husker fans. And we've got a great prize as an incentive.

Simply place a comment in the comment field of this blog by Friday afternoon and you're entered to win a chance at the Devaney Era DVD from the The Cornhusker Collection. Relive all of Devaney's greatest moments as a Husker coach. At the end of the week, we'll randomly select a winner from the comment field to receive this $30.00 DVD for FREE!

Have at it, Husker fans!

I was 8 years old.We were in Germany where my dad had been stationed.I lost my grandmother and grand father ,an aunt and uncle in a car crash near Rulo ,neb.My dad who was born in Falls City Neb. and was and is a lifelong Nebraska Cornhusker fan, always listened to the games and would put them on reel to reel. The ones he couldn't listen to were sent to him by his brothers,my uncles,so he could enjoy them.I myself became an avid husker in 1968,my dad wanted something he and I could do together since I didn't hunt or fish like my older brothers, and since I loved sports he asked me to pick a college team and a pro team.I picked the huskers ,because my favorite color was red ,and so was my birthstone, but in 62 ,having lost his mom,and stepdad,he was very unhappy, but the games and the huskers always brought a smile to his face

I was seven years old in the fall of 1962. My sister was a freshman at the University and was able to get tickets for the rest of the family. It was my very first game and I will never forget it. We had seats in portable bleachers that were on the track. My most vivid memory of that game is of the Missouri players coming past us at halftime. Their locker room was right behind the portable bleachers. I remember seeing a lot of blood on their uniforms. Pretty impressive to a seven year old kid.
My other memory is of it being the Homecoming game. I remember the displays at the sororities and fraternities. My favorite was the one they had of a Monster mashing a Missouri player. Bobby Pickett's "Monster Mash" was a hit song the fall of 1962.

I was a very distant thought in my parents minds because I was still 17 years from becoming the die hard Husker fan I am today.

I was at every Husker game in 1962 as I lived just several blocks from the 'ol stadium. I had grown up a lifelong Husker fan as I had always been drawn towards the Big Red, even in the lean years. I stuck with them. I went to every single Husker game in the 1960's until my death in 1971, shortly after our first National Championship. I was then reincarnated into my present state in 1972. This is all true. A gypsy with a crystal ball told me so.

I was just 9 years old in 1962, but Husker football was already in my blood. The Saturday ritual was listening to the Husker radio broadcast on KFAB by Lyle Bremser and crew. Remember "Man, Woman and Child, he's gone". Now being a season ticket holder, Memorial Stadium is a special place and brings chills down my spine each time the Huskers come on the field. Proud to be a native Nebraskan, now living just across the river, but always a "Husker" at heart. Go Big Red
