Suh Cited in Traffic Accident
675 views
The accident occurred at 2:20 a.m. between 30th and 31st and U Streets.
NU head coach Bo Pelini said in a statement he was aware of the accident, and had already talked to Suh about it.
According to the LPD's accident report, Suh said he was driving his 2003 green Landrover when he tried to avoid a "small dog or cat" in the road, took "evasive maneuvers" to avoid it, and struck one parked car, swerved, and struck two more parked cars on the other side of the road.
Two of the vehicles had damage estimated at $8,000. Another car was totaled. Suh's SUV sustained $10,000 worth of damage.
Alcohol was initially suspected, but Suh's blood-alcohol content was .035, well below the legal limit.
Nebraska beat Baylor 20-10 Saturday afternoon in Waco. Suh declined to speak to reporters after the game.

Uh, folks, he had a BAC of .035, and while that is not above the legal limit, if you look at those little drinks/bodyweight/BAC wallet cards they hand out, he still had 3-4 drinks IN him at an hour and half after closing time!
I thoroughly enjoyed Jason Peter's candidly tough assesment of the NU football program that he gave on Big Red Wrap Up last week. I too, in light of this and other incidents, have to ask where is the leadership and unity by the players and for the players on this squad?

Why are we out at 2:20 am in our land rover? Check your insurance rate at the next billing. I like Suh and what he has done but this is not walking the walk. Denny Krutsinger

Totaled one? It must have been an old beater to begin with, Looks like Suhs Insurance Company has to answer to this one. Just think, in a coulpe months $20,000 wont be all that much money to him

I know this is a little inappropriate, but...
Could you imagine looking Bo Pelini in the eye and saying "Coach, I swerved to miss a cat and caused $20,000 damage and face up to 6 months in jail...sorry?"
It's really kinda funny if you think about it.
Or how would you like to tell your grandchildren that NFL superstar (hopefully) Ndamukong Suh smoked your car swerving to miss a cat on his way home from the bars?
Hilarious.

I wonder if this is a violation of unspecified team rules? Guess we will see how far this culture that Mark's building has progressed, ehh? He ought to be familiar with "lose-lose" propositions, anyways, and this is nothing but that.

This is sad! He is a good kid and as all parents say nothing good happens after midnight. Pelini will take care of this and I am glad to know there was no one injured.
