One of the coolest things about Husker Locker is that we deliver contests that let you win prizes! Just in the last week alone, we've crowned four winners who will all get awesome rewards!

In our Huskers & Hunting free giveaway last week, we selected two winners. The first victor was donsummer, who provided the following hunting memory...what a story! He'll win a set of 300th sellout glasses!

Growing up in South Dakota, I remember Saturday afternoon football games on the car radio as far back as the late 1940s. As a 9- and 10-year-old, I joined my father on pheasant and duck hunts. My last hunting trip with him was in the fall of 2001 near Pierre, S.D. He was 91 and almost certainly was the only man alive to have taken part in every South Dakota pheasant season since the first the very first one in 1919. Because of problems with his legs, this was to be our last pheasant hunt together. As we listened to Nebraska demolish Baylor in Waco on that October afternoon, we shared a lifetime of hunting and football memories.
