Now that Nebraska's football team has installed its gameplan for foe Clemson in the Gator Bowl, head coach Bo Pelini will give his Huskers the next four days off. NU will return Thursday, Christmas night, for a short roll call meeting, then depart for Jacksonville the following day.

“Now is a time to spend with family,” Pelini said Saturday morning. “We have a lot of guys on our team that need to travel to see their families. You have to give them enough time to get home and spend some time with their families. Everyone has a different philosophy (on bowl schedule), but it is just as important to be fresh mentally as fresh physically.”

Nebraska pushed hard to get its entire gameplan in before Saturday. Both Pelini and offensive coordinator Shawn Watson confirmed that the Huskers had completed that goal.

“I like where we are at right now,” Pelini said. “We have got a lot of preparation done and done a lot of good work on Clemson.
