Ouch for Mike Anderson. Ben Kline, who had started for two years at short, is leaving the Huskers' program.
And what he says on the way out the door stings a little. It's not incendiary...but a little telling...
"I feel the same about the school. I like it, but I don’t think I fit in well. Everybody’s going to hit a wall at some point, but I don’t think I ever got to that point that met my expectations."
One of the toughest, but fairest critiques a player can make is: The coach didn't make me better. And that, frankly, is what Kline is saying here. -

I wish I could say I was surprised.
I also wish I could say Tom Osborne was taking a really hard look at the baseball program. But based on his comments made a month ago, I don't think he is.Beautiful Nebraska, peaceful prairieland,

I don't we can reasonably tell if Osborne knows how to play the game until we see how the situation plays out. I think Anderson's success would be best for everyone involved, but my understanding of the situation is that things are tense in Lincoln and the players aren't sure who they can trust.
The Virginia head coach has local ties to Creighton, and he certainly has the pedigree (Notre Dame, now the CWS). If he's ripe to be plucked in a year or two, I say pluck him.Beautiful Nebraska, peaceful prairieland,
