Besides football, we mean. Set the pigskin aside for a moment and rank the rest in terms of your interest+quality of team.

    1) Volleyball- With all of the recent success who's going to argue this one?
    2) Wrestling- Being a former wrestler myself (we wrestlers are a prideful bunch, if you haven't wrestled you wouldn't understand), I might be a little prejudiced but even though I hate basketball I WOULD put it in front of wrestling (because it is infinitely more popular and always will be) if Nebraska was even decent at it. But we aren't.
    3) Men's BB- Even though the women are usually better, who cares right?
    4) Women's BB- Do I need to say anything here that I haven't already said?
    5) Track and Field- It's exciting to watch for a while but just like in high school, by the time track rolls around you're so burnt out on fall and winter sports that it's hard to care
    6) Everything else.

    1. Volleyball - Another source of National Championships. Although I don't get to see many matches, it's awesome when they're on TV.

    2. Baseball - I originally moved from Nebraska to Fresno, California. I still follow Bulldog sports (football, basketball, baseball, softball). It was pretty exciting to see the Bulldog baseball team take the College World Series last year. Terrific games.

I hope the Huskers can pull it together this year and advance to the Series and then advance further in the Series, where they have a 1-6 record. I just love to watch the College World Series.

    3. Basketball - When I lived in Fresno, I was able to attend the Nebraska-Fresno State basketball game in 1996. That was the year that the Huskers won the NIT. I was proud to be wearing my Nebraska shirt at the game and had fun convincing the fans that I actually DID live in Fresno and I WAS a Husker fan. It was very nostalgic to hear the pep band play the Husker music.

So far this year, the Huskers are looking pretty good, especially that win against Texas. There's lots of talk that this team could advance to the NCAA's. That would be nice...especially since the games will be telecast. Unfortunately, they will probably be a lower seed and will face a number 1-2 or 3 seed team. It will be a tough chore and they have yet to win a game in the NCAA Tournament. Perhaps they might be better off to be picked for the NIT. They would probably have a better chance to advance further...maybe even to the Championship Game again.

    1) Baseball. It's always been my favorite sport. There is alot to appreciate about Baseball. Try to get from Sioux City to LIncoln for as many games as I can. The NU/A&M game on Friday night last year was a classic. Grew up in Crofton, Nebraska, a great baseball town.

    2) Basketball. I remember listening to NU games back in the 60's and Stu Lantz battling Jo Jo White's KU team for the pre conference Big 8 Tourney Championship. Yes the Big 8 did have a tournament before the conference season started. I believe it was 1965 when they went 20-5 and didn't make the Tournament.

    3) Wrestling. A great one on one sport but also a Team Sport.

Baseball: One bad year isn't enough to ruin our baseball program. But we need better starting pitching next year.

Men's basketball: As far as sports that I'm the most excited for next year, its this one. Nebraska Basketball could reach its peak this year. It's not like were asking for a national championship from Doc or anything, just one win the tournament is all it would take to become the greatest NU hoops team ever.

Running: As a high school cross country and track runner, I love watcing middle distance.. Which I guess puts "mile runs and longer" as my next favorite sport to watch. At the NCAA track and field championships in Arkansas this weekend, NU finished in the top twenty but didn't make any noise on the track, they just scored points in the field events. Kids in Nebraska who are too small to play the more popular sports should grow up running. We would have a better team

Volleyball: looking forward to getting student tickets for the first time.

    Everything else.
