Not sure what got me thinking about this, but if you could pick one cool town name to end all cool town names in Nebraska, what would it be?
I'm mulling over five right now, myself
Cozad: Always felt like it sounded like an outpost at the end of the world, or the name of a biker. Either way, I like it.
Broken Bow: One of the great names in the United States, for my money. Cool little town right at the beginning of the Sand Hills, on reliable Highway 2.
Crab Orchard: All of about 50 people in it.
Venango: Named after a British fort in Pennsylvania, is all I can figure.
Juniata: Sounds like a rare orchid. -

I'd have to go with Funk. Although Lincoln is a good name just because its the name of arguably the nation's best president. I'll definitely say he was tons better than Obama.huskermaniac28

Goober says YO !
Hows e Bout ......WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !
Which happens to be David Lettermans official town.
Also like Strang , Ong and Saronville ....
My own hometown is Nelson.Opinions are only formed when the recipient pauses , listens , studies and then discerns for memory what is beneficial. Blind ambition only serves to promote deception within the benefactors ignorance. But then ignorance is bliss ....
