"Yost tossed a six-hit shutout against Baylor on Saturday for his
first-ever Big 12 victory. He did not allow more than one base runner
after the first inning while establishing a career high with six
strikeouts. Yost's victory also accounted for Nebraska's first shutout
of the season and first complete-game shutout since March of 2008. The
Lincoln, Neb. hurler became the first Husker freshman to pitch a
nine-inning shutout since the 2000 season. It was the longest
appearance for Yost in 2009."

Yost is NU's first pitcher of the week and third Husker named player of the week, joining Tyler Farst and Adam Bailey, this year.
