After sophomore CB Alfonzo Dennard went down with an injury in the first half (does anybody know how serious that was, by the way?), it became very apparent that he is head and shoulders above the 2nd stringers. When Anthony West, a former starter, entered the game in place of Dennard, Baylor continuously exposed his coverage struggles. This goes to show that Pelini really knows what he is doing in terms of recruiting and coaching his recruits. Dennard was only a 3 star recruit out of Georgia but has developed into a surefire starter as only a true sophomore. West, a Callahan recruit, was passed up by Pelini's younger, yet more athletic and more aggressive, recruit. It gives me the notion that Pelini knows how to recruit kids that will respond to his style of coaching in an outstanding manner. This is obviously very encouraging, and judging by the defensive play this year, I can confidently say that the blackshirts are back for good, as long as Pelini is head coach. And once we get this offense figured out and start winning again, recruiting will pick up and we will be well on our way back to the top.huskermaniac28
