1. Impressed by the fact we managed to score 31 points tonight (or the offense in general)?
2. Where do you think we stand going into the KSU game?Once You Bleed Red, You Will 'Til You're Dead.

1. Yes, it was nice to see the offense shift out of neutral/reverse and into drive. It would be nice if the offense could build on that and start coming into their own down the stretch here - just in time for the finale vs TexMex. The Huskers have a chance, albeit small, to win against TX if our offense plays it's best ball this year and the defense puts in a similar performance as it did against OU. That's a big IF, but not out of the realm of possibility. It was nice to see our passing game, and the deep ball, come alive again - but there were still too many dropped passes - but better than the abismal performance by the receivers/QB's over the last 5 weeks. TE's got more involved and it came in handy in clutch situations - similar to the way Mizzery used it's TE's last year. We NEED to get the TE's more involved because they are the unused strength of our team. Insane penalties at ludicrous times are still killing us. The backside tripping penalty at the 2-yard line cost us 4 points during a critical time in the game.
2. As long as the Huskers give KSU the respect necessary, given the gravity of this being the de facto Big XII North Championship Game, then the Huskers will cruise. But we can't fall asleep, shoot ourselves in the foot, or have a bone-headed game like we did against ISU or TT. Game is at home on senior day, last home game. And, KSU is not as good as their record indicates, but you have to give them credit because the record is the thing that matters - they have found a way to get it done and put themselves in the position that they are in.
I pose another question following the KU game:
3. Our defensive line was neutralized for nearly the entire game. Why? KU was reported to have a crappy O-Line, so our D-line should have feasted. It even forced Pelini & Co to throw in a few more blitz packages than was their norm (this year), and KU burned us in the process. Was the defense drained from their OU game? Was KU's line better than advertised? Did KU see something that allowed them to scheme NU's line into a non-factor? Something else?"Nebraska's back and we're here to stay!" ~ Coach Bo Pelini.
