Wish him well. He made a bad decision for his future if he wants to play in the NFL. He could have been coached by the best. Good Luck OWA.Our cobs are bigger than yours!

I agree with most of you.. deciding to play for that used car salesmen/mortgage broker Rick Neweasel was a bad choice. But there are plenty of Owa's out there we can get for years to come. Getting a qb was more important! The staff did a great job in getting Carnes and Cooper in the final hour. Owa was just icing on top of a already solid class.“Come in the evening, or come in the morning,
Come when you're looked for, or come without warning.” -

I can't really blame him. LA has a lot more to offer than Lincoln, NE. UCLA is probably a better academic school. And UCLA will play Oregon/Oregon State where his seemingly large family can watch him play once a year. Good for him. I hope he does well and has a successful college career. Having said that, my faith is still in Pelini's crew to dismantle UCLA in 2012 and 2013.
I am a little disappointed, but mostly because I feel like this reflects on NU's reputation more than I believe we needed Owa. I'd like to believe we could have our pick of players nationally, but obviously this is another remineder we are not there yet. -

I can understand why this guy wanted to stay close to home, but he would have been much better off at oregon or oregon state, where he would have some competent coaches. Nebraska was still the place for him if he really wanted to be in the NFL...huskermaniac28

After witnessing the Pelini Brothers Building a machine out of Suh in just 2 years, It was quite a surprise when he said UCLA was his choice. the only thing that pissed me off is the fact Rick the Dik got him away from us. Oh well. we will see his progress in a couple of years, and I am sure it wont be great. He didnt sound all that literate to me anyway

In an interview with Owa after the fact he said that one of the reasons he didn't want to come to NU was because he didn't want to be in Suh's shadow. This kid knows that NU knows what great D is and he is afraid he won't cut it. He will be an above average football player who could have been great if he had had the guts.I am not an expert. Everything I say should be taken as my opinion and I love it when people expand on something I say or tell me why my opinion is wrong.
